Ren and Fabia reunite with Shun and Marucho, joining Mason at Nurzak's secret lair. Kazarina successfully splices Drago's DNA with Dharak's, causing Dharak to evolve into Phantom Dharak and lose his Gundalian DNA, which allows him to pass the third shield. Barodius promotes Kazarina to second in command, demoting Gill. Mason seeks Nurzak, hoping he survived, while the others infiltrate the castle to find Dan. The Brawlers face significant obstacles: Ren battles Gill, Marucho fights Airzel, and Shun confronts Stoica. Kazarina prepares to kill Dan while Jake watches. Fabia is the only one who can reach Dan in time. Jake appears to regain control, sparing Dan when he has the chance to destroy him, leaving the outcome uncertain.
