En route to Gundalia, Ren informs the Brawlers of his plan to rescue his teammates from Kazarina's lab, gaining their agreement. Ren, Fabia, Mason, and Nurzak separate to execute this rescue. Simultaneously, Dan, Marucho, and Shun enter the palace to locate Jake. Barodius commands Gill and Airzel to isolate Dan to defeat him and seize Dragonoid Colossus. Dan is separated from Shun and Marucho, who engage Airzel and Gill. Shun defeats Airzel, but both he and Marucho are overcome by Gill. Utilizing a smoke ball, the pair escapes before further harm occurs. Meanwhile, Dan remains lost in the Gundalian castle when a door opens to a strange room, where he encounters Barodius.
