Ep. 3: Yakushiji Tenzen ambushes Kouga forces and secures the scroll while allies battle Shougen.

Yakushiji Tenzen hides the Iga scroll from Oboro and ambushes Kouga forces, targeting Kazamachi Shougen. During the attack, Tenzen encounters the limbless Jimushi Jubei, who stabs him with a spear held in his throat using his tongue. Tenzen survives and later kills Jubei, who mistakes him for a vision. Meanwhile, Hotarubi, Mino Neki, Yashamaru, and Rousai ambush Shougen, who traps them with sticky phlegm. Hotarubi summons pink butterflies to allow Mino Neki to wound Shougen, who discards the scroll, which Jubei retrieves. Enraged by fears for Yashamaru, Hotarubi stabs Shougen repeatedly. Tenzen obtains both scrolls and burns the Kouga copy to conceal war news. Concurrently, Gennosuke, Oboro, Udono, and Akeginu enter the Iga Tsubagakure together.
