Okoi and Kisaragi Saemon worry about the missing Gennosuke while awaiting colleagues from Sunpu. Muroga Hyouma, Kagerou, and Kasumi Gyoubu discuss Gennosuke's connection to Udono, prompting Okoi to investigate at Iga Tsubagakure. Meanwhile, Tenzen, Hotarubi, Nenki, Koshirou, and Rousai attempt to eliminate remaining Kouga members at Kouga Manjidani but are discovered and surrounded. Despite being heavily outnumbered, they fight fiercely, killing many opponents. Hyouma intervenes to stop the battle, leading to an exchange of words before the Iga withdraw. Separately, concerned about Jousuke's disappearance, Gennosuke requests Udono send a messenger to Kouga Manjidani to verify his safety.
