Black Jack, who harbors resentment toward his father for abandoning him and his mother Mio after an explosion, finally responds to a call from Kagemitsu Hazama after 21 years. Kagemitsu proposes a financial partnership and requests plastic surgery on his second wife, Renka, who suffered burns in a fire, instructing Jack to make her the most beautiful woman alive. Upon removing the bandages, Kagemitsu is shocked to see Renka resembles his deceased wife, Mio. Later, Black Jack faces an assassination attempt by a mysterious organization and is caught in a massive explosion upon returning home.
