Black Jack and Pinoko fly to Europe to track down Dr Kreutzer, a man recognized from a photograph found at Honma's clinic. While visiting a hospital run by him, Jack befriends a girl named Suzie. He discovers Dr Kreutzer has been in a persistent vegetative state for two months following a car accident. Hospital controller Mr Devon asks Jack to impersonate the doctor and operate on a cancer patient. Jack initially refuses but accepts the high fee after Pinoko reveals the patient is Suzie's mother. After the surgery, Dr Stein, who was in the old photograph, mentions the organization and the Noir Project.
