Ichigo remains determined to defeat Ulquiorra, who reveals his status as the Fourth Espada through a tattoo and fatally wounds Ichigo, challenging him to flee Hueco Mundo or perish. Simultaneously, Orihime faces hostility from Loly Aivirrne and Menoly Mallia, who resent Aizen's attention toward her. During his battle with Szayel Aporro, Renji is nearly killed by the Fracción Medazeppi. A mysterious archer intervenes, shooting Medazeppi with an arrow to save Renji. The archer then mocks Renji for his near defeat. Renji recognizes the savior as Uryuu, identifying him amidst the chaos. This sequence occurs within the Arrancar: The Fierce Fight arc, specifically episode 11 of 16.
