Kumoi orders Hanza to kill Lurichiyo after discovering her presence. Ichigo, Rukia, Kenryuu, and Enryuu enter the compound to locate her. Kumoi traps the Ryu brothers in a storehouse, while Rukia meets eleventh division captain Kenpachi Zaraki. Zaraki senses Ichigo and leaves to find him. Ichigo locates Lurichiyo but loses her while evading guards. A child servant, revealed as an assassin, attacks Lurichiyo. Zaraki intervenes and kills the assassin. Rukia asks Zaraki to keep the incident secret. Hanza attempts to frighten Ichigo with spiritual pressure but is surprised by Ichigo's lack of reaction. This segment is part of The New Captain Shuusuke Amagai arc: (6/22).
