Ep. 170: Mysterious Assassin Attacks Lurichiyo Under Moonlight While Ichigo Seeks Answers

Ichigo questions Kenryuu and Enryuu about Lurichiyo’s presence in the real world, but they remain silent. An assassin later attacks Lurichiyo’s home, using a mirror weapon to reflect moonlight and nearly defeat Ichigo. On his second attempt, Ichigo reflects the light back, forcing the assassin to accept death by Getsuga Tenshou rather than answer questions. Kenryuu then reveals Lurichiyo is the heir to the Kasumiouji clan. He explains that Gyoukaku Kumoi, a caretaker, is trying to seize control by killing her. Under pressure from Rukia, Ichigo agrees to protect Lurichiyo from this threat.
