Mayuri experiments on Gegetsuburi, learning zanpakutou return only after owner defeat. Rangiku and Momo send their weapons to the fourth division barracks, but an unknown assailant attacks the transport cart. Ichigo meets with Rangiku and Momo, then reaches Muramasa, who struggles with his abilities in his current body. Ichigo attempts to attack Muramasa but is stopped by Senbonzakura. Ichigo fights Senbonzakura and gains the upper hand before Byakuya arrives. Byakuya reveals he has joined Muramasa to protect his pride, then disappears with Muramasa and Senbonzakura. This event occurs during the Zanpakutou Unknown Tales arc on 11/26.
