Nozomi’s zanpakutou shatters while defending Yamamoto from Inaba, who reveals he and Nozomi share spirit particles from another Soul Reaper. Inaba defeats Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji, allowing Nozomi to flee with Kon. She ties Kon to a rock and escapes, leaving Ichigo to pursue them. Inaba falls on a slope, but Ichigo arrives and strikes him with Getsuga Tenshou, only to find it is a clone. Inaba knocks Ichigo unconscious, takes Nozomi, and leaves the living world. Kon remains bound to the rock, crying out as Ichigo’s uniform turns white due to his depleting spiritual energy. This segment is part of the Gotei 13 Invading Army arc, specifically episode 18 of 26.
