After Tsukishima feigns stabbing Orihime, she begins recalling him as a friend but hides this from Ichigo, telling only Chad. Suspecting her secrecy, Ichigo returns to Xcution headquarters where Gingou explains Tsukishima was a founding member. Gingou reveals that when the group attempted to transfer powers to a Substitute Soul Reaper, Tsukishima killed the substitute and the involved members before vanishing. Given these revelations about Tsukishima's actions, Gingou decides to accelerate Ichigo's training schedule.
