Byakuya and Kariya clash, with Kariya deploying his doll Messer to manipulate wind. Byakuya’s shikai is deflected by a wind barrier until Ichigo arrives to assist. Ichigo engages Kariya using his bankai, allowing Byakuya to break through the barrier with his own bankai. Kariya heals himself, demonstrating that Bounts in Soul Society consume spirit particles to restore their bodies. Meanwhile, in Kusajishi, Koga and Ichinose persuade residents to join their revolt to establish a new Soul Society. This segment is part of The Bount: Assault on Soul Society arc, specifically episode 4 out of 18.
