Kariya attempts to kill Ichigo using Ichigo's own Zanpakutou, but Ichigo stabs himself to enter the world of his subconscious, Zangetsu. Following a conversation with Zangetsu, Ichigo returns to reality and activates his Bankai, allowing him to fight Kariya on equal terms. Uryuu arrives and utilizes his abilities to open the gateway created by the Bounts into the Soul Society. When Kariya expresses gratitude, Uryuu clarifies that his assistance was intended solely to defeat the Bounts within the Soul Society. This event concludes the Bount arc, which consists of 28 episodes in total.
