Ep. 8: Satoru investigates Kayo's home for clues linking the intruder to past murders

After narrowly avoiding an intruder who leaves a footprint, Kayo reveals the incident to Satoru and Yashiro. Investigators discover a rucksack containing tools previously used to frame Jun for Kayo's murder, along with a briquette. Recognizing that the abduction killer remains active, Satoru brings Kayo to his residence for safety, where Sachiko is waiting. The following day, Satoru and Sachiko return to Kayo's house to confront her mother regarding the suspicious events and the evidence found inside the abandoned bag.
