Ep. 8: Boruto suspects he awakened the Byakugan after seeing a mysterious shadow and dreaming of world fate.

Boruto watches a ninja film with Shikadai, Iwabe, and Denki, then discusses a unique shadow only he sees. Shikadai suggests informing the elders, but Boruto insists on handling it alone. He creates three Shadow Clones to analyze the vision, yet grows confused about its reality. In a dream, a man claims Boruto will bear the world's fate with his eye. Upon waking, Boruto believes he awakened the Byakugan. Exhausted from work, Naruto returns home with Shikamaru to find Boruto mimicking movie heroes. Boruto announces his new power, but Naruto doubts it due to lack of training. Hinata directs him to her father, Hiashi. Naruto brings Himawari and Boruto to the Hyuga residence, where Hiashi explains that not all clan members awaken the Byakugan but offers to spar with Boruto to verify his claim.
