Ep. 2: Liang Qi and Cummings attack CIA convoy to rescue Alphard while Canaan saves reporters in Shanghai
Liang Qi and Cummings launch an airborne assault using air-to-surface missiles and GPMG fire against a CIA SAD convoy to liberate Alphard. In a flashback, Minoru recalls being tasked by superiors to train Maria as a professional photographer following the Shibuya incident. During dinner in Shanghai, Maria and Minoru are ambushed by an elderly man resembling a figure Minoru saw on television earlier. Canaan intervenes to protect the reporters from the attacker wielding a Mini-Uzi, who subsequently attempts to kill her before dying via electrocution. The pair are later evicted from their hotel due to the resulting chaos. Minoru reflects on a mysterious T-shaped purple mark observed on the attacker and a corpse discovered at a festival the previous day.
