After wandering off without Canaan, Maria stays with Yunyun on a houseboat. Yunyun is summoned by Liang Qi for a mission. In Japan, Maria and Minoru investigate T-shaped marks with physicians. Canaan encounters Yunyun, whose mission is to eliminate her. Despite Maria's pleas, they clash until Yunyun plans to kill them with dynamite. Canaan saves Yunyun out of pity for Maria. Yunyun reveals she is a Borner with two appendixes but no Ua virus abilities. Minoru pays her to act as a double agent for him and the Snakes.
