Tokoha organizes a three-part Vanguard quiz competition for Chrono and Shion. Shion dominates the initial phase by quickly identifying card images. During the second scavenger hunt stage, Chrono takes the lead after Shion pauses to assist an injured, pessimistic boy. Determined to honor his commitment to the child, Shion vows to secure the overall victory. The final stage features an obstacle course race between the two rivals. Although Shion makes errors, Chrono provides unexpected assistance that allows Shion to cross the finish line first. This narrow win fulfills Shion's promise to the boy he helped earlier in the event.
