Ren and Leon explain their decision to remain neutral in the ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, Rati engages in a cardfight against Serra, who has adopted a Link Joker deck. Rati strives to win after finally understanding the importance of friendship through her experiences with Aichi and Misaki. Despite her efforts, Serra defeats Rati, driven by his desire to harness the power of Link Joker for his own purposes. This victory results in the breaking of the last seal, marking a significant shift in the situation.

Aichi struggles to contain the Link Joker seed while Serra threatens Kourin and challenges Gaillard.

With all seals broken, the Link Joker seed attempts to exit Aichi’s body as the sanctuary collapses. Kourin tries to assist, allowing Aichi to suppress the seed temporarily, though he loses consciousness. Serra then traps Kourin in an ice cage, preparing to steal the Link Joker power. Kai, Gaillard, Naoki, Ren, and Leon arrive, with Gaillard using his flames to free Kourin. Gaillard steps forward to cardfight Serra, who reveals his ambition to wield the Link Joker power. Demonstrating his strength, Serra locks two of Gaillard’s rear-guards and activates Omega Lock to prevent their release.

Gaillard counters Serra despite Omega Locked rear-guards, but Serra’s declared Final Turn fails after five attacks are blocked. Learning from Kai about the value of mates, Gaillard defeats Serra and inflicts Judgment. Serra recovers quickly, using ice powers to block everyone while advancing toward Aichi. Rati and Neve break the ice to halt him. Gaillard then reveals that Serra’s Quatre Knight brooch has shattered. Stripped of his status, Serra is expelled from the sanctuary and disappears. The confrontation concludes with Gaillard turning his attention toward Kai, setting up the next phase of the conflict.

Naoki confronts Kourin to save Aichi and restore the Cardfight Club

With Serra absent, the Quatre Knights and Kourin target Kai and his allies. Naoki volunteers to battle Kourin, who explains her origin: she absorbed the seed's power leaking from Aichi to wield Link Joker. Despite this advantage, Naoki remains resolved to rescue Aichi and Kourin while reestablishing the Cardfight Club. He defeats Kourin, who collapses but is caught by Aichi. After Kourin faints, Aichi and Kai share an intense stare.

Gaillard steps in to stop Kai from fighting Aichi, initiating a final confrontation between the two. They engage in an intense cardfight, exchanging multiple triggers and performing numerous Legions. Both combatants push each other to the edge of defeat, but Kai ultimately wins after Gaillard runs out of heal triggers. Following his defeat, Gaillard asks Kai to save Aichi. Consequently, Kai and Aichi then prepare to face each other in battle.

Kai and Aichi engage in the final battle for Quatre Knight status

The decisive confrontation between Kai and Aichi begins, with Aichi proposing that Kai, Naoki, Ren, and Leon become Quatre Knights upon his victory. Despite Kai’s extensive efforts and the emotional support from his friends, Aichi remains completely unfazed. To demonstrate his resolve, Aichi employs the power of Star-vader, Blaster Joker, a form of Blaster Blade corrupted by Link Joker. This ability successfully locks all of Kai’s rear-guards and shatters his Legion, marking a critical turning point in their intense duel.

Kai and Aichi's Final Battle Concludes with Blaster Blade's Intervention

The duel between Kai and Aichi reaches its climax as Aichi attempts an Absolute Lock. Kai repeatedly resummons his Legion and realizes Blaster Blade is the key to freeing Aichi. On the final turn, Kai draws four consecutive critical triggers, boosting his Legion's attack to 40000 and dealing five criticals. Aichi cannot guard, and the seed leaves his body to attack Kai. Kai summons Blaster Blade, who slices the seed into pieces that enter the hearts of Aichi's friends. Blaster Blade explains the seed will weaken as its bearers fight worthy opponents, after which Link Joker will be accepted as a new clan on Cray. The next morning, Emi wakes Aichi, who discovers his actions were undone and his friends remember him. The group meets at the Card Fight Club, where Kai and Aichi begin a new fight.

One year after Kai freed Aichi, the Miyaji Cardfight Club won the High School Cardfight Vanguard championship and expanded significantly. Kourin left the club after losing her memories of Aichi, though the group continues daily exhibition matches. Aichi faces difficulty preparing his graduation speech while Card Capital organizes a tournament on the same day with low registration. As the club plays intramural matches, Naoki invites friends and rivals to the shop event. Aichi speaks with Ren, who remains undecided about his future to stay free, noting Kai shares this mindset. Kai eventually appears, explaining he fought old rivals to determine his next steps. Before revealing his decision, Naoki invites Kai to join the Card Capital tournament.

Kai, Miwa, and Misaki attend their graduation, with Aichi delivering the good luck address despite having one year remaining. The group travels to Card Capital for the shop tournament, encountering Kourin and Ultra Rare filming a commercial for Ultra Water. Although Kourin lacks memories of Aichi, his friends are pleased with her well-being. Ultra Rare subsequently signs a contract for a Cardfight commercial and appears to regain their original Vanguard cards. The tournament features participants from Teams Handsome, Caesar, SIT Genius, and Dreadnought. During the event, Leon asks Aichi about his future, prompting him to cite his friends as his inspiration. The climax features a final match between Aichi and Kai. Kai reveals he has accepted Gaillard's invitation to travel to Europe. Despite the impending separation, both maintain confidence that they will meet again through their continued play of Vanguard.
