Kourin defeats Izaki to tie the score at 1-1. Misaki faces Kamui Katsuragi, an old Q4 teammate from the Hitsue Vanguard Club. Kamui takes an early lead using Beast Deity, Ethics Buster and Ultra Beast Deity, Illuminal Dragon, launching five attacks. Misaki survives with only one point of damage by riding Eternal Goddess, Iwanagahime, retiring Kamui’s front-row units to win and give Miyaji Academy a 2-1 lead. In the fourth game, Shingo underestimates Miwa and loses, tying the score at 2-2. The fifth and final game features Aichi against Morikawa. Misaki expects an easy win for Aichi, but Aichi is surprised to see Morikawa using Kai's Kagero deck, despite Morikawa's lack of enthusiasm for this choice.
