Tomoya introduces Ushio to her teacher, revealing Kyou as the instructor after a brief encounter with Botan. He later agrees to let Yusuke arrange for Fuko to play with Ushio, who has become friends with the child. That night, Tomoya sings "Dango Daikazoku" to put Ushio to sleep before Fuko visits and reminds him of Nagisa. The following day, Kyou informs Tomoya about the upcoming school sports day requiring parent participation. Although initially hesitant, Ushio’s encouragement convinces him to join. Later, Ushio walks alone to the new hospital and meets Fuko, offering no specific reason for her visit. The next day, while Tomoya prepares to meet Akio and Sanae at the Furukawa bakery, Ushio suddenly develops a high fever, shocking everyone present.
