Police search for clues while the kids practice with their LBXs, planning a rescue mission but waiting to confirm the item's location. Jin, now watching over the comatose Yuuya, questions his grandfather Yoshimitsu’s involvement in the tragedy. Both boys were lone survivors of the Tokio Bridge collapse that killed Yagami’s family. After Yoshimitsu refuses to explain why he programmed The Emperor Mk 2 to self-destruct and killed the guards, Jin rebels. He visits Cyber Lance to test Proto Zenon, which features a controller with increased memory and a combat range extending from 100m to 1 km. Meanwhile, Ban receives the real Platinum Capsule from Lex, who reveals the Innovators’ stolen item was a fake. As Ban travels to Tiny Orbit with allies, the Innovators surround their car to steal the capsule.

Just before collision, Jin arrives in Proto Zenon, using rocket thrusters to create reverse draft and stop the train with 1m remaining. Jin reveals he has turned against his grandfather and joins the Seekers. Later, a hidden message from Professor Yamano inside Odin reveals that Metanus GX data can be recovered by hacking the world's most protected computer system. Although hackers failed, Yuusuke suggests the legendary hacker Otacross might succeed.

On tournament day, Yuusuke arrives at Akihabara Tower, revealing Tiny Orbit sponsors the event and Otacross saved Fenrir's data, allowing Kazu to equip the armor frame. Otacross then declares the tournament is a team battle, assigning Ban, Gouda, and Daiki to one team and Jin, Kazu, and Ami to the other, overriding Kazu's protests.
