While Shiro is carried away by Chan and En, Ganta encounters Minatsuki Takami, a Deadman who killed her abusive father. He initially offers assistance, only to discover she is his next opponent in the carnival corpse match. During the fight, Minatsuki reveals her true nature, having injured Ganta beforehand and attacking with her Branch of Sin. Yoh arrives, identifying Minatsuki as his sister and explaining his plan to earn cast points for her freedom. Despite Minatsuki’s attempts to turn Yoh against Ganta using resentment from the Red Hole incident, Yoh sides with Ganta. Ganta disables her weapon, frees Yoh, and defeats Minatsuki with a headbutt to win the match.
