Piccolo perishes from Nappa's ki blast, causing Kami's death and the destruction of Earth's Dragon Balls. Goku arrives at the battlefield just in time to save Gohan and Krillin. He heals them using a Senzu bean from Korin before engaging Nappa in battle. Despite Nappa's strength, he proves no match for Goku's new power level. Recognizing this disparity, Vegeta orders Nappa to step down and decides to enter the fight himself.
