Ep. 10: Tien Loses His Arm and Chiaotzu Sacrifices Himself Against Nappa

Nappa proves to be a formidable opponent for the Z Fighters, resulting in Tien losing his arm during the assault. In a desperate move, Chiaotzu attaches himself to Nappa’s back and uses a kamikaze technique, but Nappa remains unharmed. Grief-stricken by this loss, Tien attacks with his Tri-Beam technique, which also fails and leads to his death from exhaustion. With three fighters down, the remaining team can only hope for Goku’s arrival, expected in three hours. The Saiyans mock the idea that a new fighter could change the battle until Krillin mentions Goku’s special training. Intrigued by the prospect of facing a strengthened Goku, Vegeta grants a three-hour reprieve to wait for his arrival.
