Ep. 15: Goku Struggles as Allies Seize Chance to Defeat Great Ape Vegeta

Goku employs Tien's Solar Flare to blind Great Ape Vegeta, buying time to gather energy for a Spirit Bomb. However, Vegeta immediately attacks, crushing Goku and breaking most of his bones. While Gohan and Krillin attempt to devise a plan to sever Vegeta's tail, they fail. Yajirobe then takes advantage of Vegeta's gloating to cut off the tail, forcing the Saiyan to revert to his normal form. Enraged, Vegeta confronts Gohan, who initially hesitates to fight until Goku offers encouragement. Goku then transfers the residual energy from his earlier Spirit Bomb to Krillin, who successfully constructs a new Spirit Bomb to continue the battle.
