The conflict between Android 16 and Cell persists. Cell attempts a counter-attack but fails against 16's Hell's Flash. 16 urges 17 and 18 to flee, but they stay, assuming Cell is defeated. Cell then ambushes 17 from behind and absorbs him. He evolves into his second imperfect form, aiming to absorb 18 next. 16 attacks but is heavily damaged by Cell's blast. Tien intervenes, launching multiple attacks to stall Cell and provide 16 and 18 with time to escape the battlefield.
