Ep. 153: Tien Exhausts Energy Protecting Others as Goku Retreats with Vegeta and Trunks

Tien launches a devastating assault to buy time for the sixteen and eighteen year olds to flee, but the effort drains his remaining stamina, causing him to collapse. Recognizing that Cell is significantly more powerful than Tien, Goku intervenes to assist his fallen comrade. During this engagement, Goku observes that Piccolo remains alive, though his condition is critical. Although Cell demands an immediate battle with Goku, the Saiyan utilizes Instant Transmission to escape the battlefield and return to Kami's Lookout. Upon Goku's arrival, Vegeta and Trunks finally emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, joining the group at the sanctuary.
