Despite his immense strength, Vegeta fails to defeat Majin Buu, whose body regenerates even after being blasted. Frustrated, Buu powers up, shaking the entire planet, and then tears a piece of his own belly to wrap around Vegeta, trapping the Saiyan prince who cannot defend himself. Unable to watch his father suffer, Trunks powers up and flies to his aid, with Goten following closely behind to assist in the rescue attempt.
