Ep. 17: Kabru dies as Falin attacks Shuro's party, leading to a group conflict and eventual separation.
Kabru assists Shuro in accepting that Laios had no choice but to leave Falin dead. During a harpy attack, Falin, now a human-dragon chimera, massacres Shuro's group. Laios hesitates to strike her, causing Kabru's death. Holm, Maizuru, and Marcille resurrect the fallen. Shuro blames Marcille, demanding she be handed to the Western Elven Kingdom after Falin is killed. Laios argues for defeating the sorcerer to save her, sparking a fistfight that turns into a dispute over personal grievances. After resolving their issues, Shuro treats Falin as deceased, returns to his country, and departs. Laios remains determined to defeat the sorcerer. Kabru believes Laios might succeed using his monster knowledge. Shuro's party eats a harpy egg omelette and teleports to the surface, leaving Laios with a contact magic tool. Laios and his friends continue pursuing Falin.
