Ep. 18: Laios identifies shapeshifter copies and rescues Marcille from Asebi hostage situation
The group descends to the sixth floor, finding ancient dwarven tunnels frozen solid instead of warm. Laios learns from Marcille that Delgal ruled one thousand years ago and vanished when the labyrinth appeared, fueling a sorcerer’s quest. A shapeshifter creates duplicates of the party, leaving three copies of Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi. Laios must identify the originals despite his poor deductive skills. While the others pair up to cook dinner, Laios fails to distinguish the real members. He eventually scares the creature into losing control by mimicking a hunting hound, causing the copies to vanish before Marcille destroys it. Laios admits his hunches were correct. Marcille is then taken hostage by Asebi, a missing member of Shuro’s party from Falin’s earlier attack.
