Celty protects Mikado from Seiji, while Mika reveals she survived Seiji’s beating and had her face reconstructed to match Celty’s, leaving the head trapped in a pharmaceutical building. Celty discovers Shinra performed the surgery to keep her, admitting his selfish love rather than concern for her happiness. Despite his justification, Shinra avoids punishment and they agree to end their secrets. Izaya reveals to Mikado that he is their online friend Kanra. Following the Dollars meeting, Seiji reluctantly accepts Mika as his girlfriend. Celty begins to accept her current state despite missing her head. Mikado’s potential romance with Anri depends on Masaomi’s interference. Finally, Izaya takes Namie under his protection, citing a mythological theory and confirming he holds Celty’s head.
