Ep. 16: Celty investigates a demonic blade while Anri confronts her true identity as Saika's wielder.

Celty confiscates a knife dropped by Niekawa and shows it to Shinra, who identifies it as the potentially demonic blade Saika, though it proves false. Shinra explains Saika disappeared five years ago but is now possessing people to slash in the name of love. Haruna visits Anri, obsessed with Nasujima, and attacks her with glowing red eyes. Celty seeks Shizuo, fearing Izaya is a target, while Anri is assaulted by possessed individuals. Shizuo, surrounded by infatuated crowds, accepts his strength and fights back. Haruna corners Nasujima, but when she attacks Anri, the blade fails to harm her. Anri reveals she is the true wielder of Saika, ending Haruna's assault.
