Ep. 17: Shizuo attacks possessed crowd while Anri reveals Saika's dark history to Haruna
Shizuo recklessly assaults possessed individuals in a park, instructing Celty to find their controller. Anri uses Saika to show Haruna a flashback of her father’s bankruptcy and abuse, revealing the slasher killed her parents after possessing her mother. Anri assimilates Haruna, restoring the crowd to normal. Nasujima, who fled the slasher during Celty’s package retrieval, is despised by Anri unlike Haruna. Desperate for money, Nasujima attempts to stab Shizuo but is easily defeated. Izaya is revealed to have orchestrated the split between the Dollars, Yellow Scarves, and Saika army, predicting their conflict. Mikado contacts his members for slasher information, suspecting Anri’s involvement. Masaomi regains leadership of the Yellow Scarves, wrongly blaming the Dollars for Anri’s injuries. Anri gains Haruna’s memories and suspects Izaya.
