In the past, Yu buys boots for Yuko, which her brother Akira Amamiya considers a date, prompting Nagi Shindo to confront Yu. In the present, Nagi helps Hiro Hirono meet a manga deadline while Miyako Miyamura cooks for him. Meanwhile, Kuze visits the sick Mizuki. After she recovers, they spend the day in the countryside with Kuze resting his head on her lap. He confesses his love but states his desire to sever all ties before dying, ordering Mizuki never to appear before him again.
