Rick Wheeler confronts Black Shadow while pursuing Haruka Misaki across space.
Sep 14, 2004Black Shadow reveals Miss Killer was his failed weapon against Rick Wheeler, then ejects her into space. Zoda and his crew locate the pod, but Samurai Goroh intercepts them, slicing open the container to rescue Miss Killer. Goroh battles Zoda’s forces, sustaining heavy injuries while allowing Miss Killer to escape. Rick Wheeler, urged by Lucy and Jack, travels to Cryton to find Haruka. He witnesses Zoda’s defeat by the Dragon Bird’s enhanced Reactor Might. Rick reunites with Haruka in the desert, but she refuses to embrace him, fearing her transformation. As they reconcile, Black Shadow captures Haruka via tractor beam, appearing as a hologram to challenge Rick to a final confrontation if he wishes to save her.

Meanwhile, Black Shadow reveals his plan to use the Dark Matter Reactor to halt universal expansion and create a new evil universe. He defeats Zoda in a race, absorbing his Reactor Might. Back at base, the Platoon upgrades Rick's Dragon Bird with a second Reactor Might from Captain Falcon. Rick struggles to control the unstable machine as cosmic anomalies signal the universe shrinking. Black Shadow attacks Dark Star, trapping the Platoon and revealing his identity. Rick and Falcon escape the exploding planet to confront Black Shadow at the reactor's heart, ready for their final challenge.

Sep 28, 2004The Falcon Flyer and Galaxy Runner approach the Dark Star, where Black Shadow awaits with the frozen Haruka Misaki and Zoda’s body inside the Dark Matter Reactor. Rick Wheeler pursues Black Shadow through a treacherous track, eventually witnessing Captain Falcon sacrifice himself to destroy the reactor and defeat the villain. Rick survives the explosion and is reunited with Haruka, who has been thawed after one hundred and fifty years. In the year 2207, a new Grand Prix begins in Mute City with Rick’s successor, Clank Hughes, piloting the Dragon Bird EX. The race starts with familiar rivals present, including a surprising return by Zoda in his Death Anchor. As the pilots launch onto the track, Clank uses a speed booster to evade attacks from Bio Rex and Octoman, only to be overtaken by Captain Falcon’s Blue Falcon GT, setting the stage for a fierce competition.
