Saber confronts Shirō for not summoning her against Rider, then insists on accompanying him and Sakura to school. Tensions escalate when Rin lies about walking with Shirō, causing Sakura to cry and assume they are dating. Rin negotiates to walk alone with Shirō. At school, Shirō reconciles with Sakura and learns from Rin that Mitsuzuri survived an attack by a Servant, likely Rider. Shirō detects magical sigils protecting the school, and he and Rin destroy most of them. They bond over drinks, where Shirō learns about Rin’s late father. Later, Shirō senses a massive sigil in the dojo and is confronted by Rider and her Master, revealed to be Shinji.
