Sento, his boss, Hakone, and Iono visit the beach, joined by Plug and Arresta on their day off. While relaxing, Plug observes an E-ranked writer acting strangely during a slump. Ignoring Arresta's advice to avoid trouble during breaks, Plug investigates after the writer argues with her parents upon passing a girl in a hat, causing her warning rank to rise to C. The writer drifts onto a raft at sea, further increasing her rank, but Plug detects no power sources nearby. She contacts Arresta for assistance. Upon learning of the situation, Sento drives his boss's car off a cliff to transmit power to the stranded writer, who regains energy and resumes writing. Arresta notes that although Plug has few charged individuals, none are repeaters.
