Ep. 1: Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo prepare for Jonan Academy exams before being transported to an ancient China-like world.

Middle school students Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo study for Jonan Academy entrance exams. At the National Library, Miaka follows a vision to a special collections room and discovers the Universe of the Four Gods. Upon reading, both girls are transported to a world resembling ancient China. They are immediately attacked by slave traders but are rescued by a young man with an ogre character on his forehead. He demands payment, but having no money, he departs. Yui is suddenly pulled back to the library, leaving Miaka alone. Assuming the young man took Yui, Miaka travels to a nearby city to find him. There, a man claiming friendship with her rescuer leads her to four accomplices intending to assault her and sell her. Miaka resists initially but is overpowered. The young man returns and defeats the attackers, saving Miaka once more.
