Saya Takagi and Kohta Hirano evade zombies while Rei attempts to contact her father, who reports total city chaos before the signal fails. Kendo club president Saeko Busujima rescues school nurse Shizuka Marikawa from the horde. Kohta assembles a nail gun, and Takashi helps Rei repel zombies on their side. As Kohta depletes ammunition and Saya struggles with the pressure, the group unites to eliminate the remaining threats. They plan to travel to Takashi's house to verify their families' safety, only to discover the outbreak is far more severe than initially believed.
