The pair subsequently halts at a gas station to replenish their motorcycle’s fuel supply. While Takashi operates the pump near a cash register, Rei is ambushed by a deranged survivor who takes her hostage and assaults her. Takashi intervenes immediately, shooting the attacker at close range to free Rei. After refueling, the duo resumes their journey, leaving the dying survivor to be overwhelmed by approaching zombies.
