After securing the apartment, the girls bathe while Takashi and Kohta inspect weapons. At the blockade, police endure attacks from zombies and civilians, including protesters led by a conspiracy theorist claiming the epidemic is a government biological weapon. With no reinforcements, officers are ordered to use lethal force to maintain control. Meanwhile, Takashi manages Rei and Shizuka, who are intoxicated. Following an argument, Rei attempts to seduce Takashi, but he refuses her advances. Suddenly, a dog later identified as Zero begins barking outside, drawing the attention of nearby zombies toward the apartment.
