Fujita visits his family village and grandmother's grave before reluctantly attending a Treasure Appraisal Association event. Despite seeing many fake items, he purchases an Edo period metal sake-serving karakuri crab for 5 million yen. He recalls a previous owner's warning that anyone near the crab suffers heart issues. Fujita works late, hears mysterious bells, and dreams of a doll claiming its heart was stolen. He falls ill and is hospitalized, asking Sara to investigate. Sara and Mitamura visit his village and return with a doll Fujita recognizes from his dream. They discover its main spring was removed to replace a broken one in the karakuri crab.
