Ep. 3: Fujita repairs a damaged Raphael painting during a hijacking attempt at JFK airport.

Sara and Fujita wait at JFK airport before boarding a flight to Japan. They encounter Moretti from the Ufizi Museum, who is transporting twelve couriers and paintings, including Raphael's Virgin and Child, to the Daito Museum. Thieves hijack the plane to steal the art but damage the air conditioning, causing the hold temperature to plummet. The cold cracks the wooden painting, prompting Fujita to perform immediate repairs in the climate-controlled cabin. He then negotiates with the gang leader, Carlos, allowing the delivery to continue only if Moretti pays a ransom. Upon arrival in Japan, Sara identifies Carlos as her harasser. The exhibition opens successfully, and the twelve couriers acknowledge Fujita’s skill, suggesting he could become a courier himself.
