Dr. Lastman from the Netherlands visits Tokyo to declare a Rembrandt at the Takada Museum a forgery, shocking directors. Fujita attempts to buy the work at a discount, but his offer is rejected. He and Sara then travel to the Tokiwa Museum, where Dr. Lastman and Mitamura examine another claimed Rembrandt. Lastman initially dismisses it as fake based on technical evidence, but Fujita counters with an alternative interpretation of those same details. The situation shifts when a companion painting is introduced, leading Dr. Lastman to finally concede that the artwork is authentic.
