Mittermeyer and other admirals return to Phezzan, where Reinhard debriefs them. Mittermeyer meets Hilde to discuss adoption policy for Reuenthal's child, ultimately adopting the child and servant to introduce them to his wife. Hilde reveals her pregnancy to Reinhard and accepts his marriage proposal, solidifying his succession and disrupting Terraist leadership. Meanwhile, a deranged Landsberg leads Imperial police to the mummified corpse of Erwin Josef II. In Iserlohn, staff celebrate the new year with a large party.
