A car accident temporarily disables the owner of an udon restaurant, prompting Kintaro to step in and assist with the business operations. As he learns the trade, he becomes involved with the owner's daughter, Noriko, who is voiced by Yuri Shiratori and Kim Sevier. Although Noriko has a wealthy suitor, a series of events causes Kintaro to question the man's true intentions and sincerity. The narrative focuses on Kintaro's growing involvement in the restaurant and his developing skepticism regarding the romantic prospects presented to Noriko by her affluent admirer.
