Ep. 4: Yuuji confronts Michiru about her strange behavior after her cat Meowmel is fatally hit by a car.

Yuuji encounters Michiru during his jog, noting her unusual demeanor while sitting with a cat. Dorm residents discuss her odd actions, and Sachi, Yumiko, and Yuuji later find her with hair dye in her eyes. Amane questions Yuuji and Yumiko about cross-gender friendship, then asks Michiru, who flees after answering. Yuuji chases her, claiming she has changed, and she kisses him before reverting to her normal self. The next morning, Michiru asks Yuuji to repeat the kiss but panics and runs away. Yuuji follows her to a bluff where she searches for her cat, Meowmel. Michiru ignores Yuuji’s warning and discovers the cat has been struck by a vehicle. Yuuji attempts to call a cab, but they arrive too late, and Meowmel dies in Michiru’s lap.
