Yuuji arrives, having tampered with the timers, and uses the nickname Sacchan to show he remembers her. Flashbacks reveal their childhood friendship at a playground before he moved away. Sachi’s parents died in a car accident on her tenth birthday after she ran away from neglect; her mother remains in a coma. Sachi blames herself and strives to be obedient. Yuuji counters that her childhood selfishness helped him forget his own troubles. He hides the bomb disposal with fireworks, takes her to her parents' shop to find a birthday letter, and ends the day by letting her visit her mother and giving her a hug.
